The Ravinia Spa’s Vision

Nestled within The Ravinia Club in Dunwoody, we are more than a luxury spa facility; our staff members all live lives dedicated to health, harmony and well-being. We recognize that in the ever-dynamic pace of today’s world, taking time out for yourself should be an extraordinary experience, and that sometimes turning off for an hour of self care during the week can provide the very footing that keeps a person grounded, focused and centered. Let us help make a difference in the way you go about your days.
Meet our Staff and Therapists
Dr. Dan Bart takes the job of attaining wellness seriously. His massage therapists and estheticians are all licensed, and all are hand-selected for their industry experience, training and knowledge. We are proud to publish each therapists name and certified specialty for review, because we realize that every client has individual goals, needs, and levels of comfort.
At The Ravinia Spa, we know that your health is in our hands.
Dr. Daniel M. Bart, D.C.
Born and raised in New York City, Dr. Bart has been dedicated to fitness since opening his first personal training facility in the late 80′s after graduating from the University of Maryland. Still a dedicated New Yorker at the time, Dr. Bart’s reputation grew and so did his business, expanding across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
As his desire to help others increased and his business thrived, Dr. Bart became entranced by rehabilitative care for his own clients who’d undergone joint replacement procedures, but he recognized the need to increase upon his own knowledge about the mind/body connection. With a great desire to help others, Dan sold his business and moved to Georgia to attend Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Dan quickly became a campus stand-out for his dedication to volunteering as a mentor to fellow students in the Life University Gonstead Study Club, an organization he founded and for which he later served as vice president. Dr. Bart continues to this day to volunteer his time for the club (and numerous other organizations). At the study club he presents his own case studies and helps students develop their technique in this proven healing, safe method of measurable chiropractic care.
Dr. Bart still continues to incorporate exercise into his daily routine, and he uses his knowledge of fitness and exercise to enhance the benefits his patients receive through his care. He credits his level of attainable fitness for his vitality, peaceful mood, and even for saving his life in 2010. He has settled with the love of his life, Jackie, in Marietta, where they live with their toddler and teenage son.

Let us help you find the massage therapist who can best assist you on your path to better wellness and serenity.
Gwen Baldwin, L.M.T.
Gwen takes her Western certification in Swedish neuromuscular massage and the knowledge of lymphatic drainage it provides her, and blends it with her Eastern training in reflexology, Thai massage and traditional Chinese medicine to produce a global healing experience that goes beyond the scope of traditional massage.
Her daily goal is to impart this knowledge and healing to others through her message of healthy lifestyle, as well as through her massages. “With each continuing education class I get a better understanding of who I am and what I do – that is very important to me,” says Gwen, who makes it a point to never stop learning about the human body and its powerful connection to the mind and soul.
In her 10 years as a massage therapist, Gwen has worked in spas, chiropractors’ offices and as an independent contractor, but her favorite experience to date has been her time here at The Ravinia Spa, a place where people are “already in touch with their bodies and their health,” she says.
Gwen has always loved using her hands. Prior to finding her calling as a massage therapist, she was a seamstress. She still enjoys many forms of crafting as a hobby. As a massage therapist, Gwen is able to blend her love the body’s natural healing capacity with her most innate skill.
Gwen herself focuses on living a well balanced lifestyle — a message she preaches to her clients — with her husband at their home in Marietta.
Bonnie Gibert, L.M.T.
A graduate of the University of Toledo, Ohio, Bonnie was a modern dance instructor while in school, and performed with the Valois Company of Dancers. After moving to Georgia she attended the Atlanta School of Massage, where she became certified in sports massage in 1991. She later taught Swedish massage at the ASHA School of Massage. In 1995, Bonnie chaired the first sports massage team for the Georgia Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association, in preparation for the training of the certified sports massage therapists who would be needed to assist with the care of the 1996 Olympic athletes.
Bonnie’s varied and extensive continuing education, along with over 25 years of experience as a massage therapist, form a broad foundation from which she combines many modalities for a personalized session in order to provide treatments addressing individual needs, whether for stress reduction, rehabilitation, pain relief or self-improvement.
Pierre Sanon, L.M.T.
Pierre specializes in meeting each of his client’s individualized massage therapy needs. With certifications and qualifications in hot stone massage, pre-natal massage, neuromuscular/medical massage, reflexology, Chi head massage, corrective lower body work, sports massage, deep tissue and Swedish massage, there is little in the way of the body and its healing power that Pierre doesn’t understand.
Pierre lets his natural intuition guide him along with the clients requests and instructions. He can instinctively “feel” a persons pain and its source, and has healed the root of pain for many of his regular massage clients. For this reason, no two clients receive the same massage or treatment plan. “It’s always custom, always tailor-made,” says Pierre.
Pierre enjoys all forms of exercise, including martial arts, yoga, stretching, weight lifting and swimming. He recognizes that in order to instruct his own clients about how to live a healthy, active lifestyle, he himself needs to live one as well.
Jill Zimmerman, L.M.T.
With more than 18 years of massage therapy under her belt, Jill has had plenty of time to hone her broad set of healing skills.
Her specialties include deep tissue, Swedish, prenatal, rehabilitative and lymphatic massage, with a special interest in hip and knee, as well as pre and post cosmetic surgical massage.
Jill is also trained as a social worker. She enjoys the ability her work at The Ravinia Spa provides her to merge her skills and to help those in need of stress relief.
